Video Player for iPad

I use Galery 2 with Fotos and Videos. I am using the Flash Video Player.
When I use an iPhone, I can´t see the Videos. As they are mp4-Videos, the iPad could show the Video.
Is this, because the Player is a Flash Player? Is there another Player to show the videos on the iPad?

safari can play baseline mp4 directly in the browser if the site is html5 and you use the <video /> tag.
I have a sample here that should play in iDevices

Thank you for the fast reply. The video plays on my iPhone. But as I am not a programmer, how can I integrate this into Gallery2? Where do I have to put the script?

I can't find out, what to do with the script...
Is there a way to show a picture or video with a direct link to the picture or video? When I type the direkt path to the picture into the browser, I only get "permission denied".

Can you test this page and tell me which videos fail to play on your iPad?

What I've done is made a new module "Multimedia" which combines the flashvideo/mp3audio/gallery's built-in video handling into one module supporting HTML5 <video /> and <audio /> w/ flash fallback.

I'll do audio experiments tomorrow.

1. Picture with crossed out play button
2. Sorry your browser does not support HTML5.video.webm. Download movie -> Download fehlgeschlagen. Safari kann diese Datei nicht laden.
3. Sorry your browser does not support HTML5.video.ogg. Download movie -> Download fehlgeschlagen. Safari kann diese Datei nicht laden.
4. Picture with crossed out play button
5. Safari can play this as H.264. Picture with crossed out play button
6. Picture with crossed out play button
7. Flash version 9,0 or greater is required. You have no plugin installed

So you're saying none of the videos are playable?
The mp4 types should play, and at the very least the first as you said it played on my other test page.
I'll have to test on my friends ipad, I only have galaxy tab.

Hi!
The_Divide from your first test page playes without problems. When I use the same video from the second sample, I can see the start-picture. But I doesn't play an it has a play-button in the middle with a line trough it so I can't touch the play button.

Made progress tonight. Borrowed an iPad from a friend for testing.
Had to write my own GalleryView for Byte Range Requests as this is required by iDevices.
I'm glad you asked about this as I needed to solve this very issue for a current project.

So have another look.
And make sure you are able to play the mp4 formats: mp4, m4v, f4v, mov should all play for you.

Tomorrow I will incorporate the audio formats and package this up.
