Changing Column numbers in Gallery 2

I currently have four albums wide per page and want to change it to three. Where can I change this setting? (http://www.kailuasailboards.com/kayakguides.html)

Also, should I upgrade to Gallery 3? What are the benefits, any sample pages? Will my G2 albums automatically carry over? How can I upgrade?

Gallery Admin -> theme -> Your theme -> columns
or per album:
edit album -> theme -> columns
