Creating new albums in G2

I was somewhat reluctant to ask this question as I'm sure there is a very simple answer but to be honest I just couldn't figure it out.

My question is how do you create new albums using G2?. When I installed my G2 it appears that an automatic album was created for me at least one that I could simply edit for my own needs however I cannot find an option to create a new album. I can only see an option to add a sub album, this sub album appears in the default album. Is is possible like in Gallery 1.xx that you can have a list of albums on the main page?. Like I said I almost didn't want to ask this question & I'm frustrated that I couldn't resolve it myself!.

go to the top level of your gallery and click add subalbum in the sidebar.. in G2 the "main page" is just an album. You can configure it to use Classic layout if you want it to look more like G1 (with subalbum links).
