Error importing v1 gallery

OK, following on from what now seems to have been two threads of mine (sorry, one was my own fault for not cleaning up the previous install), I've now got the latest build installed and working.

Where I previously was suffering from PHP timeouts when importing my v1 gallery with the alpha release, I asked the current nightly to import all the users and albums from my v1 gallery, and it came back with a gallery error:

An error has occurred.

Actually, in trying to narrow it down a bit, I deleted the partial albums it had imported, and tried to just import one album.

I noticed it wasn't creating the thumbnails, so I tried to use the "thumbnails" option from the site admin page, and then got this:

if you can reproduce these errors from a clean install, and tell us the steps to do so, we can fix it.. right now it's hard to tell where your errors are coming from...
