Album description length

I just installed G2 and the new album descriptions boxes are much smaller than the old Gallery and I'm wondering if the description boxes are adjustable to accomodate longer texts, or do I need to revise all my descriptions toa shorter length?

Right now the title field is 128 characters, the summary is 256 and the description is unlimited. The text boxes may be small, but you can put that much text into them...

Is the old image title stored somewhere that I can cut and paste into the description field instead of the title field?

Nope, we don't keep it. But you can reimport the images from your G1 and when you do so, you can put tell the migration tool to put the caption into the summary or description fields instead of the title...
