Forced download buffer variable?

Is there a way to forcea large percentage of a video to be downloaded to a viewers machine before it is played? Some videos now are choppy and the people who I need to view them are as clueless as I am. I can fix the problem by pausing the video for a while (or by shrinking the video or diminishing quality) but I thought I would ask the forum anyway. I have searched for an answer in these forums but found nothing ...which probably means it is either simple or impossible. Any guidance would be appreciated.

G2 has no control over this.. it is decided by the browser plugin that is playing the video. G2 is just sending the file.
