[SOLVED] Gallery Update to Beta 1

Hello!!

Id like to update gallery 2 alpha 4 to gallery beta 1

I uploaded all Files (templates and layouts not) and run the upgrade setup.

After Step 2 I got this error "The requested URL /gallery/upgrade/upgrade/ was not found on this server."

I have put the old folder "upgrade" from alpha 4 into the new upgrade folder.

It doesn't work...

raah, don't mix alpha 4 and beta 1 codebase! :)

if you have customized your g2 theme/layout, then make a copy of the old folders and then delete all files from the alpha 4 codebase (everything but config.php and g2data).
get the beta1 (or better a nightly snapshot) codebase into place and browse to your gallery.

note that the theme/ layout customizations have changed from alpha4 to beta1. no longer name the files templates/global.tpl.local, now call them templates/local/global.tpl (i.e. create a new directory called local).FAQ Gallery:c.13

okay... i've deleted all alpha files - and i've uploaded all beta files to the server....

again after step 2 at the upgraded setup: "The requested URL /gallery/upgrade/upgrade/ was not found on this server."

but there is no seccond "upgrade" folder in the basic upgrade folder!

please help me... my gallery was offline now for two days!...

do you have any layouts that are not part of the G2 distribution (like any downloaded from the forums)? if so, remove those extra directories in the layouts directory and try again. old/incompatible layouts may cause this upgrade/upgrade thing.

i tried to install the gallery with the install setup again...

i've got this module error:

i commented out some code which allowed your upgrade to go through.. looking at that code now i'm not sure how anyone has been able to upgrade, so it needs some further review. anyway, your site is all set..
