Weird Gallery v2 and v1 coexistance/sharing question

I have built a pretty extensive Gallery2 on my server at http://www.greenfam.org/gallery2. I have set up Mambo for my car club web site on the same server at http://hacgp.clubgp.com. Since Mambo supports Gallery I installed Gallery 1.5RC2 on the HACGP site and integrated it. This is working great. What I would like to do is tie some of my personal albums into Gallery1, or vice-versa. Is there an easy way to syndicate albums between these versions? It seems that I recall a feature like that on one of the versions, don't recall which, but I don't know if that will work cross-version either. Thanks, Chris Green |

there's an import G1 tool in G2. in site admin -> modules, activate the import g1 module.
there's no feature in G2 that allows linking / integrating G1 albums. perhaps this could be done in a more general way, i.e. a thumbnail / item that is just a "preview" for a link to an external website, eg a G1 album. if you would like such a feature, file it on sf.net/projects/gallery/

there is sample code in the dev forum (or wiki / development / G2 user contributions) for an item that links to another album.. this could be generalized to a link to external sites, though i'm not sure that's what you're trying to do..
