g2 not showing ANY images

I installed G2 on my server and everything went pretty smoothly. I only have one problem: when I try to add images via web upload or via local server, the process just freezes up after i hit "Add Items". I get a blank page on main.php.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

By the way, when trying to use Remote, I connect OK to the site but the Gallery that shows up says "read-only" or something to that effect.

HelP?

Upgrade to the latest version of GR to fix the "read-only" problem, or use %7E in your url instead of the ~ symbol.

Not sure why your imges aren't showing up, but my guess is that GD is your culprit. Can you try using NetPBM or ImageMagick instead?

I'm running the latest version of GR, but i stil have the read-only problem (using latest gallery2 release)

GR 1.4.1 + G2 beta 3 0.9.21+ (get the current nightly snapshot from http://galleryupdates.jpmullan.com) works for me. i can add items with GR.
