OK, OK -- I know the G2 beta isn't ready for a production setting yet.
Just wondering -- are there chances that the database structure or anything "un-upgradable" will change from here to final release? Not many people but me use my photo site, so I don't mind things breaking and changing while I use the G2 beta and keep upgrading along the way. Especially with my G1 site as a backup.
Am I shooting myself in the foot by starting to migrate? Or will there be a smooth path from beta to final?
I read something about a "upgrade path", but I thought that was referring to Alpha --> Beta. Forgive me if this has been answered somewhere else!

I would say that IF you are using it for your personal site, don't depend on it to make money and it has all the features you need... you should be okay. I would probably still use the G1 to handle all the image uploads though, and reimport all of the images once a week or so. That way you'll have a backup of all your images, just in case. If you switch over to uploading into G2, all your "new" images won't be in your G1

Will we add any non-upgradeable changes? No.
Might we screw up and break that rule? Yes.
Will we give you urgent support if some recent CVS code deletes all your images? Probably not.
If you can live with that, then CVS is for you. We can certainly use your testing skills!
