Active Links in Custom Data Fields

I really don't know what I am doing--so it makes it hard to research. Forgive me if this is a question covered somewhere and I just didn't know how to look it up. I have set up custom data fields for each image in my gallery and would like one of those fields to have links to pages on my website. Is there a way to enter the url in the custom data fields which would make it an active link to a specific webpage and that would return to the gallery? I'm not real familiar with computer speak so don't worry about talking down to me in an answer. On the other hand, I can probably get my son to translate anything I don't understand. Thank you |

What version of Gallery are you running? The answer is different for Gallery1 or Gallery2. Let us know and we'll move this to the correct forum and get you an answer.

Thank you for the information. I was able to figure it out myself, experimenting with the little bit of .html I had learned and then forgotten as my son has pretty much automated my website for me where all I have to do is maintain some databases. If there is anything else I need to do to let folks know the problem is solved, then please let me know. I just inserted standard html coding for links and to open the link in a new window and that is working just fine. Thank you again for taking the time to reply.
