Need of INstallation Help with Gallery Remote

Hi all I am fairly new to this forum and the idea of the gallery remote versus a server side uplink. I tried everything with NetPBM and Gallery 1.3.3 to no evail. I am going to give this gallery one final shot here and hopefully you all can help me make it work. I have posted my particulars here.

Server (ez-web-hosting) Linux OS and an Apache UNIX
PHP 4.3.3
MySQL 3.2.3
PHPNUke version n-6
Remote Gallery version 1 from source forge.net
Gallery 1.3.3 installed and halfway working. (UNable to create thumbnails)

I was told to install on my Windows 2000 Pro system desktop the gallery remote. Correct or not?

Then use that via my desktop to open gallery and upload images. GReat and all however I can't figure out where to start with Gallery Remote. Can someone walk me through this process from start to finish and hold my hand. :roll:
