Urgh. I just lost a handful of images. I created created a new album in Gallery, and then moved some images I had in my home directory to the new directory that Gallery created. I then told gallery to Add Items from a local server, and supplied the path to the new directory with the images I just copied over. Gallery read the list of pictures fine, and I checked select all, and then clicked Add Files. Then I see this:
Warning: getimagesize(): Read error! in /home/vtrac/public_html/gallery2/modules/core/classes/GalleryPlatform.class on line 502
...
Warning: getimagesize(): Read error! in /home/vtrac/public_html/gallery2/modules/core/classes/GalleryPlatform.class on line 502
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/vtrac/public_html/gallery2/modules/core/classes/GalleryPlatform.class:502) in /home/vtrac/public_html/gallery2/main.php on line 331/
Basically it had a getimagesize(): Read error! for each of my images. I then see that every single one of the images I had selected to be added to Gallery is now of 0 bytes.

you did what? moved stuff on your own into g2data/albums/...?
you are not allowed to do that.
and g2 should give an error if you try to add from local server when the path is within the g2data directory.
what's your exact g2 core version ?

buffman, @deleting album. Try deleting the album through the G2 interface. Don't try deleting it from the file system under g2data.
Piece of advice, stay out of the g2data directory structure ;)
