Cannot upload images - G2 Beta4

I have problems with uploading images, I have tried "Upload Applet" and "From web browser". In "upload applet" i get "Upload error: Upload failed:"."

Album folder is /g2data, and I have set permission "chmod -R 777 /g2data"

I have tried in different albums, but no images is uploaded.

Any tip?

please try the other add item methods first, e.g. from browser and from web.
do they work?

"From web browser" didn't work, but "From web page" was sucessful!:)

What can be the problem? php permissions?

from web page -> it transfers data from a 3rd party webserver to your g2.
from web browser / upload applet / GR -> it transfers data from your pc to g2.

try again from web browser.
how does it fail? what's the error?

I cannot see any error messages when I upload from web browser. (See screen pictures below.)

Is there any other log file than "/var/log/apache2/error.log" I can check?

The module "Debugging" is activated, but where is the debug ouput?

just nothing happens or what?

the debug module doesn't help here.
the real debug mode is activated in config.php.

already tried to upload from a different computer?

do you have other scripts on this server, e.g. phpbb or G1? can you upload there?

I'm getting either the same problem - or at least similar symptoms.

Add from Web Browser fails (silently - it just heads back to the main gallery page)

Add From Server works like a charm.

File upload from my laptop to the server is working for some other apps - including into the non-gallery part of the same website.

Yes, I have tried to upload from 3 different computers at different locations.

I've tested G1 now, and yes i could upload there. http://hokksund.dnsip.net:81/gallery

i assume you tried to upload the same photo in g1 and g2 and it worked in g1 but not in g2.

also, from your 1st post, i read that you tested it with IE and FF. do you see any javascript errors in the FF javascript console? (FF menu -> Tools -> javascript console). hit clear, then try to upload. any error?

I don't understand this, but suddenly upload worked. Tested first from firefox and then IE, it worked from web browser and the java applet.

What have you done valiant? he he. Thank you:)

Ps. There were no output from JavaScript console
