I get a persmission error when I try to view my albums. It's hard to explain the exact behaviour of the gallery since it's rather, hm, random somehow. Visit the page and try to surf around, refresh the pages etc. View the album, you get a few thumbnails etc. Make a visit and you'll understand why it's hard to describe the error message. the forbidden error is a apache error, we can't do anything about it.
and you already say the webhost must have changed something.
no idea what it could be.
maybe your webhost moved your account around or used a backup and forgot to chown -R webserveruser your/path/g2data. but i don't think it's that.

I have the same problem, and now I have upgraded to the last version of the gallery, 2.3 and it's still poping up the error.
I'm sure the error occures only when KeepAlive is activated on the server, but ther must be a bug or something in gallery, because I have made more than 100 websites and all work just fine on that server with keepalive activate, in fact everything loads up much faster if keepalive is active.
Please guys .. can you tell us what we can do to make it work ?
