Bad request

I am trying to install Gallery, on to my local machine where I have got a php server running. But when I try to start the setup page, I keep on getting a error message saying that the browser as sent a Bad Request to my server.

Anybody know how I can correct it.?

Please tell me more about your setup,
OS? Linux or windows
Webserver? Apache or IIS
