g2/typo3 integration...

I use Typo3 and have read all posts up to this point about the feasibility of G2 in Typo3 with a single user/pass list or some sort of sync. I would like to know if there has been any more news in this department or if there is some new features in T3 that would make it easier now...?

now news that i heard of. the latest development in typo3/g2 is ~1 month old and the user that announced to have a typo3/g2 integration as good as finished didn't show up anymore.

Well, you will notice that Typo3 4.0 is scheduled to be released in early Feb 2006. http://typo3.org/?tx_newsimporter_pi1%5BshowItem%5D=0&cHash=e4a40a11a9

I hope that this new version will have some of the features that you are looking for... assuming it was T3 that everyone is waiting for features in and not G2. If I knew more about this topic I would be actively trying to work with the T3 community but I do not have experience in integrating single sign on yet.

Just another idea: An article in the Typo3 magazine "T3N" 1/2006 describes a project named SSO - Single Sign On. Perhaps someone can manage this to work with gallery ...

SSO is still just one part of the integration. you also need to synchronize account creation, account data changes, ..
