Installing, then implementing Gallery across two websites?

So I think I will probably do this Gallery 2 upgrade, but I am faced with a challenge already and wanted to see if anyone has doen anything like this before. I ran out of space on the hosting company I am with and as a result, signed a new deal with another hosting company which offers 6x more space for about a buck a month less. The issue is, I'd like to move only the photo gallery over to the new hosting company while keeping the rest of the site on the original location. So I'm guessing that would be as simple as just moving it to the server and turning it on. But can the gallery on server Y be integrated with the PHPNuke on server X?
One thought I considered was installing Gallery 2 on server X while hosting the albums on server Y, but I am gathering that I would need to have both site X and Y on one server to do that, is that correct?

you cant integrate the two across servers, no. you could copy your existing albums directory to your new server, leave G1 running on the old one, and have G2 import from that albums folder on your new server, then delete albums from the old server once you are done.
