A few questions about migrating.

Hello!
I've been running a popular gallery for almost 2 1/2 years, and I am very satisfied. But now I am considering to migrate to Gallery 2. But there are some questions that remains unanswered even after reading the FAQ.

1) Will the original gallery be modified in the migrating progress? I would like to have it as an untouched backup, just in case.

2) Will I have to edit anything in .htaccess and config.php if I don't move it? The gallery dir is the root of my webserver, and I'm going to change that to the g2 dir in apacheconfig.

3) Am I right if I believe that gallery2 will copy the albums from g1, thus needing the same amount of space?
