Ok, I am about to go nuts here. I know I am trying to pull in three different systems and make it all work, but is it really this hard?

I am using Joomla, Gallery2 (intergrated in and working fine), and needing a cart... that switchs over to SSL side AND WORKS.

I was trying Virtumart...nope.
Gallery2 addin of cart module... no check out. Swell...remove that.

Zen cart is next. Intergrated in fine, however there is no control over intergration portions. I don't have a nice "Add to cart" button. No, there is a "purchase options"?? What?
Ok, click on it and volia.. I am in the Zen Cart site. I realize I will then have to configure another entier site, remove all the unwanted, add in my logos, blah blah blah. Shoot!

Ok, I am wondering how others are doing it? There must be a way.
Oh, did I mention I have zero experience in programming PHP. Nada... Sure I know basic HTML, bash scripting, etc..

Sorry, I am just frustrated. I feel so close... wait for it... but yet so far away.

So, is there a simple yet nice and clean solution? I know, "Hey man, it takes a lot of code to make it work." Believe me, I know. I was thinking I am doing something wrong and someone can say.."No no, here is a non-presuming peice of documentation to walk you through it."

Any suggestions? Please! Suggest..:)

I am also searching for this solution.
I basically want Gallery2 and Zencart to work independently of each other (no need to sell photos in zencart or display product photos in gallery), but to both have identical user tables.
Anyone made any progress?

Well, what I ended up with is not the greatest but it works. After all the time I spent on putting the site together and working on bits and pieces of code, no one has bought anything from the site. I will probably remove the purchase options and leave the options to email me if someone would like to purchase a print. I just use the site as a portfolio now, that is about it. I still have not found anything that is quite what I was looking for... oh well. That is the way things happen sometimes.
