Gallery Rmone in 1.5.3 doesn't work correctly

The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).

Apache version:Apache/2.0.50 (Fedora)
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please):4.3.10
Graphics Toolkit:
Operating system:fedora linux... for the server... XP Pro for me
Web browser/version (if applicable): I'm using IE7 (Server uses apache)

Ok... I updated the gallery from an old version of 1 to 1.5.3 and now when I try to connect via the remote program I get a premature EOF encountered. I'm not running any other languages, and I've completely deleted and redownloaded and reconfigured gallery. There are other issues as well. I can't run the find_orphans.php file... it tells me 404 not found, however, I've located the file in the right spot and even set it at 777 just so I know it could be run. If I log in the the site via the web, I can't create new albums without it doing like 5 pages worth, and it also doesn't always show all the albums that are avaiable when I log in, it does however, show me the correct number of total pictures and albums on the line in the upper left corner.
