Am now experiencing an odd difference in the way the slideshow applet performs with Firefox and with IE. Everything is good on Firefox. However IE has 'suddenly' taken to not actually showing the slides;~| IE goes into full screen mode, seemingly obeys all the variables' settings in the Site Admin, shows the various text (slide number etc) and even shows the centre displaying semi-transparent symbols. What it is NOT showing are the contents of the darned pictures. There have been many changes recently not least that of my server... I thought it was the initial absence of ImageMagick (server only came with GD2 bundled) but have just managed to put the old version of IM back on the new server and still IE does not show the slides' contents (the picture). My slideshow demo button is currently keyed to: Tried altering the (GR) Upload Applet area in case there was some interference but I haven't discovered any such. I don't normally use the Upload Applet (prefer Local Server mode). 'Occasionally' IE manages to show some of the pictures (not all the pictures and not all of the time by any means). I think this is cache, for instance the new server has eAccelerator installed. For other slideshows try using some of the other albums - the slideshow button is at the bottom of each full view. Any ideas? |
