Hello,
I have quite a few images that are high resolution. I do not need the high resolution images on my server, and do not want them because I wish to save space for other images.
My question is this, is there a program where I can change the size of the image of multiple images at once. I do not have the engergy to open up hundreds of single files change their size, and then save it again. It will drive a person crazy.
I found one solution, with windows xp you have an option to send the files through email. when you do so it asks you if you want to reduce the file size. When you click on yes it creates a temporary image with a resolution of 480x360 or something of the sort. I could copy the temporary files from the temporary internet files folder.... but it does not retain the name, which is something I wish to do.
Is there a program that I can say: Here is a folder of images... take each image and make a smaller pixel resolution, and resave it as the same name in another folder. (These images I will upload, and then delete this folder off of my harddrive)
Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But please, save your originals onto a CD or something. They're like your negatives, and you might just want them (for printing or to crop to just one person) sometime in the future.

Thanks Joan,
I have already saved a copy of the images to a CD so that is not a problem, but thanks for the heads up.
But, now how do I change multiple images at once with this program. I just installed it and am not catching it.

If you need options to reduce the photo sizes inside Gallery, see the links I posted here:

What ocean? I'm closer than you think. However, I'll take the thought for the deed - no need for you to deliver

I must say that I was a little put off by your assumption that everyone is in the States - even when I said I was closer than that. You'd be surprised how many people there are who aren't american
If we are getting personal: my accent is explained by the fact that I am Australian and my proximity to Germany is because I live in London . . . which proves I am not European, as no european would say London was near Bonn!

@Joan
I am sorry about my assumption, it is just that most of the boards I frequent are mostly American members. But I will try a little harder to watch what I say about stuff like that from now on! 8)
Also, Here I thought London was in France. Doesn't London have this big tower or something? I think it is called Eifel Tower, but dont quote me on that.
Naw Just Kidding. Saddly enough, many Americans don't know where Paris and London are, and what they have.
@ To anyone that cares
I was in London a few weeks ago. I might say that is a very cool city. There is so much going on, I am not sure if I could live there. But I will definitely visit there a few more times.
I am heading off to Paris tomorrow afternoon, anyone have any tips? If you are wondering... no I am not rich (whcih is why I am scraping up cash from the couch just to make a donation to gallery) I worked two jobs for two years to come to Germany for one year and spend it all here on trips and what ever I need. Two years of work for one year, a waste? Not one bit, I wouldn't trade this year for anything!

Walk. Walk. Walk. Stop at Cafes. Croissant and Cafe au lait for breakfast. Espresso in the morning. Red wine in the afternoon. Walk along the Champs Elysee, but don't eat or drink there. Smile, and say Bonjour to shop holders. Try to conduct all business in french, even if you only know 5 words: they will rescue you, and you'll leave the city wondering why anyone would say the french are rude. For extreme weird feeling, visit the catacombs.
