iPhotoToGallery 0.66 cannot connect to Gallery 2.1.2 via https

I am unable to connect to Gallery 2.1.2 from iPhotoToGallery 0.6.6 via https.
Both versions are latest official (non-ß) versions as of today.

Using Gallery Remote I am able to verify that the server+username+password etc. is correct.

Is there anyway for me to try to debug exactly what the problem is?
