CMMigrate freezing up on picture import

Hi there. Gallery Version 2.1.2 I'm trying to do a migration from Coppermine to Gallery. Gallery came with my new host (Dreamhost), and I've copied the old coppermine files up to my new host. I installed the module 0.5 from the site, and went in with a snap. I tried doing an import. On some albums it works just fine, imports perectly. Other albums it freezes up at the importing photos page. The bar never moves, and I let it sit for a long time. No error message. The album is created, but no photos make it. Text on screen: Importing Photos I don't know what the difference might be? some albums transfer fine, others just freeze. any hints on what to look for? badger |

Ok, I figured out how to make debug output appear (forgive me, I'm a noob.)
I see errors like this:

that's a bug. $sourceEncoding isn't initialized anywhere. i guess that's a bad copy and paste from the migrate (g1->g2 import) module.
i don't think that's the source for your problems though.
anyhow, do you happen to know how to acquire coppermine's character encoding? or is it always the same, ISO-8859-1 or UTF-8 maybe?
