Thanks for the help with IE...My sister runs IE and it looks right on her computer. Anyone have any idea's about the Safari issues: No hover transparency, no Logo at all, and the hover nav pic's are on top of the picture all the time. Any help would be great. Thanks again. |

I downloaded the nightly and it worked. Thank you. I'm wondering why xtreme site I visit on the old Safari worked, though. It must be something in my setup and not a browser issue. I went to jeffreydegrijs.nl and it worked just fine. Something about my set up. Any ideas? |

First, thanks for a great theme Pedro, and thanks to all the members here for such good support of the user community. I've been using the theme for quite a while and am very happy with it. Super work! I have recently begun to geocode all of our photos with lat/lon data. I would like to enable a link to google maps to show the location of a displayed photo. I am proposing the ability to click on the displayed lat/lon data in the meta data box or perhaps a displayed link in another area. Has anyone done this mod? Can anyone point me to the code location where the lat/lon is displayed in the meta data box so I could modify the code? And, to head off a needless series of posts, I'm not a developer, so developing code from scratch is a challenge. However, I can successfully modify code using the "crude but effective method," so some sample code would be a great help. Thanks! |

Hi thongta, as far as I can see this feature will come with one of the next releases of Pedro's amazing X_treme theme. This version of the theme (you have pointed us to) is running with Gallery version 2.3 so I assume it will be come after the officially release of Gallery version 2.3. Hi, I have a noticed that with IE that the extra links I added with the externallinks.tpl file are not shown correctly with IE6/7. With Safari and FF it is. The two links 'publications' en 'search' become '| // //]]>' and on click you go to the publications album. Just go to www.jeffreydegrijs.nl and see the top menu. Using Gallery 2.2.4 with Extreme 1.0.5 and Charcoal. thanks, -------------------- |

I'm on Gallery 2.2.4 and xtreme 1.0.5 I experience an issue with the hover navigation. With PHOTO :: Hover Navigation - select position and following the navigation doesn't work with photos in portrait mode. With landscape it works just fine. Please find an example of the issue with this landscape-photo (the next one will be portrait). There is another issue with the shown photo comment With the above linked example where the hell does the "ccc" in photo-comment come from? It's not within the photo comments at all. |

For whatever reason I cannot overwrite the global settings for a certain album. If I press "save" it jumps back to global settings? Where does x_treme save the settings for a certain album? And what other than server attributes might be the reason? Edit: If I press the "save" button with the settings in an album, the browser does send data and receives data, but it obviousley gets back the global default, whatever I am changing. I found the databank table "g2_PluginParameterMap" probably that one supposed to save album settings. Looks like x_treme cannot write the table for other than global settings. Might it be a certain problem with database rights? I just recently changed the webspace host. Here the install data: |

Hi folks jdegrijs, I don't know what is the problem, I tried the theme with several browsers and the externallink always works well it sice you put it as explained at externallink.tpl casacki, patrickthickey, I do not have any of the bugs you are reporting, maybe I fixed it already, I don´t remember, try the beta version and tell me if it fixes your bugs. Good to know you are still alive Pedro...probably busy watching soccer right now with Portugal vs. Czech Republic... As I'm changing webspace right now I did a quick check on "fresh" webspace: No success. Still cannot save any other settings in subalbum than the once defined global settings. Didn't check the other issues yet. A pity as I miss the knowledge to follow such issues myself. Maybe I just watch soccer myself. |

Hi Pedro, hi casacki, I have solved the problem casacki described. Accidentally, I have the same provider as casacki, so I suspected a server-side problem. Just to confirm: The issue The issue was related to suhosin extensions. Unfortuantely I don't know which suhosin values have caused the issue and what exactly the web hoster did. |

Have searched the forums and not found a solution to the folllowing... The 'icons' for the Xtreme theme tend to be too blended, and small, so that users have oft indicated they can't find, or see, things like a shopping cart. Has anyone tweaked icons for things like the Charcoal theme to make the icons larger, and more visible? Or, can someone recommend a quick tutorial on how to tweak the existing icons? I have located and understand where they are, and have even tried copying one icon colorpack to another one to try and enhance the view of the faded icons, but not good enough. And, have not done well using Gimp to try and size and brighten for instance add_cart.gif but end up mangling it. Has anyone tweaked the color packs for Xtreme to make them standout more? tx |

I just found this theme a couple of days ago. I did not realize how big this theme adoption is. Thanks to Pedro for this theme. I have a problem trying to configure the theme. On gallery2.hu, if you hover over the right of the image, not only do you get a pop up thumbnail, but you can click on the image and go to the next image. However, when I added the theme to my gallery, I can only get the popup. The image itself is not a link. Can someone please tell me what option do I have to set/unset to get this functionality? My gallery information is included below: Gallery version = 2.2.5 core 1.2.0.7 |

Hi dspguy, you adjust it in your "Site Admin" page. Select "Themes" and scroll down to the "PHOTO" section. The option you are looking for is named "PHOTO :: Hover Navigation - select appearence". Choose there 'Only Thumbnails (incompatible with image "fading in" for IE' Hope this helps you. Best regards, |

dspguy At home I'm on IE7, microthumb navigation works. At work I'm on IE6 and some more security and fire wall settings are on. There microthumbs don't work. Did you try the other settings for <PHOTO :: Hover Navigation - select appearence> ? Maybe they don't look as good as microthumbs. But they might be a workaround. |

Also, I'm trying to use the linked pages index in the photo view in an album that comes out to have 61 pages. The index isnt wrapping and is instead just extending the entire page out and making it go off screen. Not sure if it's a bug or if I'm doing something wrong. |

Over a thousand, but still, 200-250 would be 20 pages and would still cause the box to expand to the left. It should simply wrap once it hits the browser size or only show 4-5 pages (i.e. 1,2,3...41) or something to that effect. Actually...now that I added in a sidebar...I'm wondering if it would be possible to remove the sidebar only in the photo view...that would be optimal here, along with the wrapping. |

Hrm...the website is kind of under construction and I turned off that option because of the error. Essentially, what is happening is the microthumbs, on the right side, have the page index below it (1 2 3 4 5 6 etc.). Because of the number of pages, the 1 2 3 4 5 text is expanding the microthumb cell of the table off the screen to the right, where normally width controls would stop it. For some reason, it's not just wrapping as text normally does. Tied into this, is there a simple way to make the theme use a defined width, so that it's always fits - for example - a 1024px width? I'm putzing around with the templates, but all of the optional statements in the template makes it insanely difficult to make some headway on it without just a ton of trial and error (mostly error). |

Well hello there. I'm using X_treme for around a year now and time come for some great reinstall. But there's a main problem I noticed - I can't download a up-to-date mother-file from PG site, as it's kinda down now. Can somebody guide me to some mirror site for freshest version ? And yes, I googled it and visited the SF project page (I'm not going to dig thru the SVN, I want whole package). |
