Problem migrating G1 -> G2 album too big. need shell tool.

Hello there,

I'm having problems importing old Gallery1 to the new Gallery2.

I have a huge albums in G1 - 3.5G and each album is bigger than 100Mb.
I've tryed with the import tool, but I've never got continue to the wizard, just got stuck to the progress bar, showing it used about 7M
and that's it, no error msg no nothing.

My server use cgi version of php.
I prefer migrating G1->G2 albums from shell but as far as I saw there is no way to do this(According to forum posts).

Please help, what should I do?

Try migrate albums one by one.

I've successfully migrated albums (with sub albums etc) that has 1500pics in it with no problem. My gallery takes up 5Gb of storage and 9500pics total.
Also try to find out the time when your server has the least traffic (ask your host) and run the migration then. I'm sure that will help.

I'll post if I come up with something else (since I'm doing the same thing basically) :)
