Sorry if I missed this problem posted elsewhere:
When I attempt to login in with Gallery Remote (any version), I get the following message:
Error: Server contacted, but Gallery not found at this URL
The Gallery works fine, I can login as Admin and it links to my PostNuke site without problems. I had migrated many galleries from earlier site without problems.

- is the remote module installed and active?
- might be a problem with your postnuke integration. what if you enter the url to your standalone g2 folder?

Yes, I was missing the remote module.
But it looks like it's not compatible with my G2 version.
=========================================
Incompatible module!
Core API Required: 7.4 (available: 7.3)
Module API Required: 3.3 (available: 3.0)
=========================================
Is there a remote module available that's compatible with my current G2 version??
What's the easiest way to get remote working... hoping I don't have to deal with another upgrade. I don't really have time for that now.
Can my current system be patched ?
Thx,
Chris

I'm having this same issue. I am able to only download the remote module version 1.09. Is there another version of the module that is compatible with Gallery 2.1.2?

That makes 3 of us. I don't have it inbeded in anything. Just a standalone installation.
Using the URL "http://MyURL.com/photos/main.php"
I get: "Error: Server contacted, but Gallery not found at this URL (http://MyURL.com/Gallery2/main.php/gallery_remote2.php)"
If I change the URL to "http://MyURL.com/Gallery2"
I get "Error: HTTP POST failed (HTTP 404 Not Found)"
I even tried going into the plugins and uninstalling the "Remote" plugin, and then install and activate it again. That didn't help any.
I had this problem starting with 2.1.2. I upgraded hopping it would fix the problem.
Here's my current system information from within the Site Admin Maintenance:
Gallery version = 2.2.1 core 1.2.0.1
PHP version = 4.4.4 cgi
Webserver = Apache/1.3.33 (Unix)
Database = mysqlt 4.0.27-standard-log, lock.system=flock
Toolkits = Exif, Getid3, LinkItemToolkit, ArchiveUpload, NetPBM, Gd, SquareThumb
Acceleration = partial/900, full/1800
Operating system = Linux infong 2.4 #1 SMP Thu Jan 13 08:59:31 CET 2005 i686 unknown
Default theme = matrix
gettext = enabled
Locale = en_US
Browser = Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/419 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/419.3
Rows in GalleryAccessMap table = 134
Rows in GalleryAccessSubscriberMap table = 4921
Rows in GalleryUser table = 2
Rows in GalleryItem table = 4917
Rows in GalleryAlbumItem table = 93
Rows in GalleryCacheMap table = 476
I also re-downloaded Gallery Remote and it says it's version 1.5. Also I'm runing an Intel-based Mac OS X v10.4.9.

Ok, I belive I've looked over everything I can possibly find, and done all the things other people have tried. I've cleaned out the text file, I've made sure the remote module was installed, downloaded the latest build of GR. I still can't seem to get it to work...
If I point my web browser to http://MyURL.com/gallery2/main.php/gallery_remote2.php
I get a web-page that looks like my gallery but with all the formatting removed.
Any help would be appreciated.

I was actually running into this same issue. Found this in the FAQ for Gallery Remote seemed to fix it right up.
http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery_Remote:FAQ#Connecting_to_a_G2_installation:_Server_contacted.2C_but_Gallery_not_found_at_this_URL
I just created the generic gallery_remote2.php file and put it in the main directory of my gallery and it fixed the issue.
filename gallery_remote2.php
