Problem Integrating with SMF 1.1.2

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to integrate Gallery2 into my SMF forum. I installed the Gallery software using Fantastico from my Web host. I checked it and it is running fine.

Then I obtained the main version of the bridge file, and I installed it the way I install all packages. When I tried to install the bridge package from SMF, I got the following "Error in Package Installation" message:

6. Execute Modification ./index.php Test failed

I stopped the installation. Can someone tell me what I need to do here?
