nightly Downloads

For the first time I thought I check out the nightly downloads.

I selected two modules to try and received the following.

Fullscreen slideshow using a Java applet
Incompatible plugin!
Core API Required: 7.27 (available: 7.18)
Plugin API Required: 3.6 (available: 3.5)

The question is, must I install the complete Nightly Download for this to work

OR

was it Ok to just do what I did and just select two modules?

If so, what to do about Incompatible Plugin?

You must first upgrade the whole gallery install first. Then you can try the new / upgraded modules.

I kind of figured that, but thought I give it a shot as I can recover from a module failure.

Over my head if something bigger goes wrong, so will just wait on offical releases.

I had problems when I upgraded to 2.2 and my host had to bail me out (had waited until this past week). Even then I had a few modules that I had to reload and I just got the upload applet to work as it was before the upgrade. So anyway, a man needs to know his limits : )
