Joomla modules all need help?

Why does it seem to me that most of the Joomla modules are junk? The sidebar doesn't resize to fit where it is, the random image and albums don't show the requested number of images, etc... Is it just me or are these modules truly like this?

And what about g2image? Sure it lets us pick a thumbnail from TinyMCE but why can't we pick a full size or resized image through it? Why can't we pick more than one image at a time? These are all features that MUST have been requested in the past and surely would be useful.

These are but a few features I would like to see as well as some bugs I would like to have fixed. Or maybe, it's just my installation.

Any ideas?

UPDATE:
The sidebar problem is just a matter of going in to [joomla]/modules/mod_g2bridge_side.php and making this (line 15)

$content = '<div id="gsSidebar" class="gcBorder1"> '.$text.'</div>';

into this

$content = '<div id="gsSidebar" class="gcBorder1" style="width: 100%;"> '.$text.'</div>';
