"Read Only" security directory

Well, I'm attempting to Install Gallery 2 and I have run in to a problem while Setting up the Storage.

It says, when I make my Directory and do the whole thing, that it's "Read Only", I'm fully sure what this means, but It's frustrating.

Help, please?

Hi,

Where are you trying to install Gallery2? What is your operating system? What machine? Your personal PC or your Webserver?

You are not giving enough details.
