I have a problem when using Gallery Remote. When uploading a batch of pictures, I get a few java.io.EOFException errors, so some of the pictures don't upload. I pretty sure its a problem with my webhost, because I also sometimes only get a white page back when browsing my site. What I do now is to click Ok when the GR upload finishes, and then click Upload pictures again to upload the rest of them. What would be cool is if GR could do this for my automatically (maybe a maximum number of times or until all the photos are uploaded.) Is this something the author would consider doing? Thanks, |

This is a good idea. I'm on shared hosting and I often have to do this myself. Sometimes the server runs out of steam, other times, the upload takes to long and the server kills the connection. I was able to fix some problems by increasing my PHP memory limit.
What I would like to implement is a way for the client to break down files into smaller chunks if needed. If a file fails to upload, have to attempt half the file and try again. These smaller, chunked uploads would provide a fix for users who can't get more memory, and would also provide a way to automatically try resubmitting a photo.
It might be a good idea to add your suggestion into the tracker on SourceForge.
