Upload component - Upload Error

Gallery version:1.5.7
Apache version:1.3.37 (Unix)
PHP version:5.2.4
Operating system:Linux

When I want to install i get this message: Failed to move uploaded file to /media directory.

What can i do? How can i rezolv this problem?

Gallery 1.x has no media directory.

Can you explain more?
Are you maybe trying to install it in some CMS?

Okay. So this is not an Gallery issue.

You need to make the "media" folder in your Joomla! Installation writeable for the webserver.

It is writeable. chmod 777

Then the error message shouldnt occur.

I am not an Joomla! expert.
Maybe you know a Joomla! forum where you could ask?
If they say its our problem, come back and i will surely help you again.
