Possible Validation Problem with Gallery2 URL:http://www.domain.com/blog/gallery2/embed.php returned HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request I tried automatic path and it did not work. so i entered the paths manually. I get a Warning for URI to Gallery2 Ok? in the Validate screen. Gallery is in /home/user/public_html/gallery2/ (I have a symlink /var/www/htdocs/gallery2 to this dir). Gallery2 URL PATH: http://www.jqfnet.com/gallery2/ (I also tried to set it to http://www.jqfnet.com/~user/gallery2/) I cannot access my gallery through wgp2. I can access directly. FYI this setup works fine in wpg2 2.1.3. |

As it is just a warning the WPG2 will still validate and as long as your paths are right, should work fine..

I have the same problem here. The correct remark " Options not available until WPG2 Plugin is Validated " I cannot use one of the options

What I also find out that http://www.franslieshout.nl/gallery2/ and http://www.almerecultuur.nl/gallery2/ works fine and shows all the thumbnails but http://www.flfinancieel/gallery2. does not.
Can anyone help me out.
Can you use all the themes I am using Pedro Gilbert more than beautifull theme, but can that be a problem when you want to embed. ?

Slamp, after you enter the paths manually, does WPG2 validate and work, or not? (Please realize that your wp-gallery2.php page is gone in WPG2 v3.0. Your embedded gallery link will be http://www.jqfnet.com/blog/wpg2 unless you change the page slug per these directions.)
Frans, please read the "WPG2 Status" page in more detail. You do not have the G2 ImageBlock Module activated. This is listed in the requirements. Please go to Gallery2 -> Site Admin -> Plugins and install/activate the ImageBlock module.

capt_kirk, no it doesn't work. that is why i'm posting here. when i try to access http://www.jqfnet.com/blog/wpg2, i get a 404 error saying it doesn't exist. when i restored wp-gallery2.php, i can see my gallery but when i click on any albums, i get 404 also. i;ve reverted back to 2.13 for now.

Slamp, I wasn't trying to be condescending, I just wasn't clear if you were getting the warning but it was working or if you were getting the warning and it wasn't working. I also wanted to make sure you knew about the new embedded page, since your "gallery" link at the top of the page is hard-coded to wp-gallery2.php.
Are you using a custom wpg2header.php or the simple header?

I am getting confused more and more, but most of the time thats good

after adjusting the path as suggested I now have the 404 message.
But due to you're remark about ImageBlock I once checked it again and it is activated but in side bar is not always show up. and when it shows up and I click it, the message permission denied appears ?
So there is something wrong there. I have never seen or noticed a problem here.
I will check the gallery forum about this because this happend after the last svn update.
If you have any suggestions pleas let me now

Frans,
Not the WPG2 Sidebar Block, but the Gallery2 ImageBlock Module. You have to go to your Gallery2 main page, http://www.almerecultuur.nl/gallery2/, and then go to Site Admin -> Plugins and install/activate the ImageBlock module.

capt_kirk, yes i knew of the new embedded page but for some reason i guess my wordpress is not interpreting the page slug wpg2. i am not using wpg2header.php, just the simple header. how else is wpg2 3.0 tied to wordpress other than creating a new page called wpg2? how else does wp know about this plugin? how does it know to show gallery2 when wpg2 is accessed?

Slamp, it uses internal WordPress templates to redirect the embedded page to WPG2. If it's validated, it shouldn't fail (or every plugin that uses template redirects would fail, which are many). After you validate WPG2 v3.0, click on the "View Page" link that's right next to the big green "Valid". If that works, then your embedded page is working.

Oke people I have installed wpg 3.02
Nothing worked anymore I. I did not got any message but with or without the wordempressed theme. Nothing is working anymore. (the google plugin works perfect)
Also the rewrites gave more problems and I could not connect to the gallery site the normal way as well.
I deinstalled the plugin and removed everywhere the .htaccess and activate the rewrite in gallery again and everything is working again. Seems to me the same problem why I still not got embedded working with egroupware.
because I cannot get it working it is probaly something on my machines but what.

Frans,
Could you set up a temporary admin account on your WP for me to take a look at what it's doing? Sometimes it can be very hard to troubleshoot by asking 20 questions instead of just seeing it for yourself. If that is possible, please send me the username and password by PM.
