Picasa 2 - uploading mutliple folders

Hi!

Last time I tried Gallery2 I stopped using it because there was no easy way to upload and keep in sync the hundreds of folders and about 40000 pictures I have on my HDD - I decided to give Gallery2 the next change this time to see if things have been improved.

I manage my pictures with Picasa so I thought it would be a good idea to try to upload some of the folders from within Picasa.

I first did that with one single folder, right-clicked it, exported it as webpage and created the XML - things worked out pretty well... buuuuuuut how can I create this XML file and upload my pictures cross hundreds of folders?
I really hope noone wants me to create a XML file for every single folder I want to upload?
That would cost days, if not even weeks.

Gallery Remote is no option 2 as it allows to upload single folders only either.

Zipping all my pictures and uploading via FTP would work but would make it more difficult to keep things in sync, especially because I would have to create and name all my albums within Gallery2 manually.

Is there really still no option to upload hundreds of folders and 40000 images in a suitable way for users managing their pictures with Picasa2 or am I just not seeing the trivial solution?
