Hi all, I need a Permissions Module where I can assign individuals who can add items "from local server" when uploading items. In the default G2 install it only allows you to either; Turn it on for Everyone What I need can be achieved in two ways. Either the ability to give individuals permission to use the feature by adding their name in. Or be able to assign another group apart from Administrators who can use the feature. I simply have a core group of contributors to our website that I want to give access to this feature, but do not want to give them Admin permissions. If anyone is able to help out with this plz either respond here or email me with your price. I would prefer to pay by Paypal, so just add the Paypal fees on top of your quoted price. Regards, .Joel |

Hi Joel, i don't think you need any custom code to achieve what you want. I did a quick test and was able to create an account that was able to upload from the server, but did not have any admin priviledges.
When you are logged on as the site admin, go to Site Admin/Import/We/Server. In the drop down box choose 'Available to all users with permission to add items.
I then went and created a new group, for example Special Uploaders. Added the appropriate members into Special Uploaders. I then went to the root gallery and chose 'Edit Permissions'. I then added '[core] Add sub-item' and '[core] Add sub-album' for the group Special Uploaders.
When I log on with an account that is in the Special Uploaders, I can upload files from the server, but don't have any admin priviledges.
