I wanted to rebuild the kernel, because I'm trying to install VMWare tools and of course, the vmxnet driver cannot load via the precompiled binaries, so I need to rebuilt it, which forced me to install gcc 3.4.4, but now I'd like to build a kernel so I have headers as well. Where can I get the .config used to build the appliance's kernel?
Thanks,

The kernel config is in /boot as /boot/config-2.6.16.26-0.1.x86.i686.cmov - if you're using a different version of the appliance, the config filename may be different.
