Gallery Remote and automatic image rotation

I've recently enabled automatic image rotation on the Gallery server (from the admin options Extra Data->EXIF/IPTC->Rotate pictures automatically).

I also have the Read EXIF from JPEG files to auto-rotate images enabled in Gallery Remote (v1.5.1-b36).

If I now upload a JPEG that requires rotation, it will appear rotated through 180 degrees. I'm assuming the image is being rotated by both Gallery Remote and Gallery. If I disable image rotation in Gallery Remote, the pictures appear in their correct orientation on the server.

I'm assuming that Gallery Remote is rotating the image, but not updating the EXIF data and therefore Gallery is rotating the image again.
