2.2.4 upg + dir rename: admin links broken

I recently upgraded my gallery version from 2.1.2 to 2.2.4, using the preinstall.php script. As part of that process, I renamed my gallery folder from "gallery" to "gallery2", then back to "gallery" after the upgrade. When I log in to my admin site, all of the links from the nav bar still contain "gallery2" as part of the link path, so they all fail. I have to manually go up to my address bar and correct the path (deleting the "2") to get the items to appear.

If I try to "edit" an existing album (after correcting the URL as described above), I get the following error:
