I'm hoping someone can give me a pretty elementary explanation for what steps to take here.. I was recently getting an error message on my site where GR is installed. I asked my webhost about it and this is their message back to me: It looks like you may need to upgrade your Gallery installation to the newest version. The version you are running may be incompatible with our PHP5 and MySQL5 server. I've added a line to your .htaccess file to force PHP4 mode. This is a TEMPORARY measure, only, as we are removing php4 from our servers within a short amount of time. So.. I've been reading the forums here and installed the newest GR. Still, I have 2 questions. First, will this newest install over my old version correct the problem the tech states above? Secondly, what do I need to do on my website where the photos are for the newest upgrade? I'm not sure I understand the upgrade.. Thanks so much for your time, |

Sounds to me like you will have to install the latest version of Gallery as well as GR.
FAQ: What information is required when I ask for help in the forums?
