Hi,
I decided to use the “Slider” theme and configured it as best as I could. In general it looks very much like what I had in mind, but there are a couple of things I would like to do differently. I’m using the tree structure to display my albums. I call the topmost album “All” and I have sub-albums under that one (Close-ups, Landscapes, etc.) I can see all the pictures that belong to any sub-album when I click on its name. But I can’t see anything under “All”. Is there a way to include all the images under the topmost category? Also, clicking on any album name causes the navigation section on the left of the screen to disappear. Then one has to click on that “Y” looking little icon on the horizontal separator for it to come back. What can I do to make that section permanent?
Thanks for all the feedback you can give.

I don't have the slider theme so I will need a URL to see the behavior you want to change.

Dave,
Thanks for getting back to me quickly, but I'm so new at this thing that I don't exactly know how to do what you're asking. I have a URL but my website is not functional yet, if that's what you're asking for. How else can I do what you said (maybe I can attach images or something?)
Thanks.

Could it be this?

Yes. That is the url needed.
I gess the behavior you desire is not avalable in the slider theme. It does not show sub-albums by design.
You could use a different theme for the root album and then all other themes have the slider theme.
@sidebar default: in the js file that came with the theme.
var options_on=0; // Sidebar/options are visible
change the 0 to a 1Dave

Thank you for your suggestions. Could you please tell me how I can get to the js file you're referring to?

edit it
then FTP it back

Dave,
I did that but it doesn't seem to work. Is there something that needs to be refreshed?
