I currently have two different gallery2 installations - one running an older 2.2.x install, and a current 2.3 install. The older 2.2.x install is on a site that's been taken offline. I'd like to migrate the albums from that installation to the newer 2.3 installation on a separate site.
How can I do this? I see options for migrating data from gallery1 to gallery2, but I haven't found any information for migrating albums between gallery2 installations.
Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Any thoughts on this? I'm sure I could find some way to just copy the album directories over, but I'd like to preserve the metadata as well (as much as possible, anyway), and I'm not sure how that's stored. Would moving the album directories be sufficient, or would I need to migrate parts of the database over as well?

FAQ: How can I export data from one G2 installation and import it to another?

Strangely I always thought there was a G2 -> G2 module out there, butI could not find it.
But itemAdd from local server will add all your images keeping file structure, but not meta data, sorry.
