Loaded Gallery 2.2 on two websites from my host and have the same problem on both.

I loaded Gallery 2.2 upgrade from my host on two websites and get the same error on both when trying to do setup system checks.
Error: Some files and or directories in your storage directory are not writeable by the webserver user. Run chown -R webserverUser /home/users/web/b752/ipw.stateshoot/public_html/gallery/g2data/ OR run chmod -R 777 /home/users/web/b752/ipw.stateshoot/public_html/gallery/g2data/.

First 2.2 is old. You should be installing 2.3

ipw? Ipowerweb? You get what you pay for :)

You need to make sure that the webserver can write to g2data and edit any and all files and directories under g2data. If your host isn't letting you set directories to 777, then you'll need to contact them on the proper permissions on their servers to do this.
