Request Gallery3 module: Rotate based on EXIF information - paid work

Hi,

I like using Gallery3 a lot, but a critical piece missing for me is the ability to (losslessly) rotate an image based on EXIF information. There is a ticket for it in the features request, but it's been moved to 'field of dreams' and will most likely not make it into the core product. As you can see some work has been done already and there are some pointers in the ticket.
I am willing to sponsor someone who would write a module that allows you to do this, for the benefit of the community.
