I run Gallery Remote on my laptop under Vista, but want to install it on my notebook which runs Win 7. I've downloaded the latest version from the site, installed it, and when I try to run all that appears is a black DOS screen box, which disappears really quick before I can read, and the program does not start. I've checked to ensure that Java VM is running using the test on their site, and it is and running the latest version... any help please?!!

So, is there no way to get this program to work in Windows 7? Seems like someone might want to address this since Windows 7 is so popular.

I really doubt it. All development focus is being done on G3 right now. I'm working on getting a better answer on the status of GR. But for now I suggest taking a look at the Uploadify module for G2:

Did you install the version with the Java VM or the one without the VM?

On newer OSes and newer versions of Java, GR should not be installed with the installer, but run directly from the G2 site, using Java WebStart.
