I've recently been tasked by my boss's company to patch up a gallery they did for a client 8-ish years ago. Upon investigation of the site, I discovered it was running Gallery 1.3.3: http://www.denniscoello.com/gallery/ Anyways, I have had absolutely zero interaction with this script in the past, and I'm trying to compile a time estimate for how long it will take to get it fully up-to-date. You know, what the upgrade path to the most recent version should be and what sort of headaches I should be looking out for. 8 years of no updates is a long time, so I already have a vague idea of the kind of mess I'm in for here. :P |

First upgrade G1 to the latest version of G1. Follow this link and the links it links to for a detailed guide:
FAQ: Can I update from G1 -> G2?
You may or may not need to go to an intermediate version of G1, but I don't know, nor do I know where you'd get those other than checking out of SVN or CVS (were ever the repository for G1 is at....)
