No and possibly never will unless someone does some major updating to GR. You can communicate with G3 remotely and that's advancing along. Someone has already created a client for this. http://gallery.menalto.com/node/97318
I'm pretty sure there are no plans to make G3 communicate remotely the same way G2 does, meaning it's not going to be backwards compatible.

That's right: I've started updating GR for G3, but I'm waiting for protocol enhancements to make it more efficient.

Hi there
I moved to a new server recently, so with this I decided to go from G2 to G3. It was a mistake. I had more than 11.000 photos. I can easily upload any photos with Gallery Remote to my Gallery2, but with Gallery3 it is impossible. Now I'm working since two days and only half of the photos are uploaded.
Are there any ways to get Gallery Remote work with G3? Or a more useful upload tool available instead of the built-in-simple one in G3?
The page doesn't says what to do with the files after I use the serveradd: can i delete the photos from the upload folder or I have to leave them in? So: the server add copies the files to the album directory or not?

Anything you want. Gallery makes a copy of them into it's structure and once they are imported doesn't care about the files you uploaded.

OK, it seems to be working, might be a bit quicker. I uploaded 4800 photos so far, only about 7000 to go...

No, not yet. GR doesn't work with G3.
Try the Server Add module
